Security Challenges in the Balkans Region 2021 – cu specialiști din 11 țări, la Timișoara. Programul

Universitatea de Vest din Timișoara și New Strategy Center organizează a cincea ediție a conferinței anuale „Security Challenges in the Balkans Region”, care va avea loc vineri, 18 iunie 2021, în intervalul 9.30 – 19.30, la Complex Senator.

Datorită restricțiilor legate de starea de alertă, impusă din cauza evoluțiilor pandemiei cu noul coronavirus, conferința va avea loc într-un cadru de organizare special, cu o limită maximă de participanți prezenți față în față, impusă de legislație, dar și cu o participare în formatul de comunicare online și cu difuzarea live a dezbaterilor pe site-urile organizatorilor (www.newstrategycenter.ro  și https://www.uvt.ro/ro/security2021/ ) și pe pagina de facebook a https://www.facebook.com/uvtromania.

Evenimentul se va desfășura respectând toate măsurile legale de prevenire a COVID-19.

Conferința va beneficia de prezența oficialităților și reprezentanților mediilor academice din România, Italia, Austria, Germania, Franța, UK, Croația, Serbia, Slovenia, SUA, Bulgaria.

Evoluția evenimentelor din ultimii ani demonstrează că regiunea Balcanilor rămâne un spațiu deosebit de important pentru securitatea europeană, provocările cu care se confruntă zona intensificându-se în ultimii ani, cu atât mai mult cu cât a intervenit și noul context al crizei pandemice. Universitatea de Vest din Timișoara și New Strategy Center au decis, cu patru ani în urmă, să organizeze o asemenea dezbatere la Timișoara, pentru a sublinia în primul rând legăturile istorice ale capitalei Banatului și pentru a evidenția faptul că Balcanii reprezintă o zonă vitală pentru securitatea României.
